Here we will talk about guidance. My personal beliefs and professional experience do not allow me to use time out in our classroom. In case we need behavioral mangement we use time with (his/her self), or time to reflect and talk with the teacher. We also use conflict resolution techniques in cases when more children are involved in a difficult situation. The aim is to teach children reflecting on their behavior, making the right choices and using problem solving techniques- skills that will help them in future school experiences.
