Another child centered activity intended to promote cognitive development and aesthetics as well as life skills like decision making, communication and self confidence: scrap-booking is a method for keeping personal, family and in this case, school history in an album. Typical memorabilia include photographs, printed media, and artwork. Scrapbook albums are often decorated and frequently contain journal entries. We will have scrap-booking once a week,on Fridays. We will try to include our favorite pictures, anecdotal records of children's thoughts while decorating the memory pages according to the individual preferences of the children. It has been fun to create scrap-booking albums for the last four years; I am sure we will continue to enjoy the activity again.
